I would like to extend my greetings on the occasion of my appointment as president.
I hope that you are all in good health.
I am Yamashiro Hirokuni, who was electted and appointed as the 10th presedent of the Okinawa Karate-do
association at the regular general meeting held on June 23rd.
This association was established on April 1st,1989,with the aim of making a fresh start and dissolving the Uechi-ryu Karate-do Association.
Up until now,this association has developed and operated thanks to the efforts and hard work of many members and teachers in the Karate world
and in all other fields.
In thie situation,I feel an overwhelming sense of humility to have been appointed president of this association.
With a sense of mission to "protect Okinawa Karate"in mind,I will continue to devote myself to my Karate training,
strive for the development of this association,and fulfill the heavy resonsibilities of my position as presedent.
I would like to ask for the cooperation and understanding of not only our members,but also all other related parties,and ask for your guidance and encouragement.
In closing,I would like to wish all involved parties continued success and good health,and conclude my speech as presedent.
